Timber Engineering has been DAC’s official partner
to design, supply and erect Super E® homes in the UK.
Crendon Timber Engineering is a proven leader in engineered
wood technology in the UK. Nearly 40 years ago they introduced
North-American style roof truss technology to the UK market,
which today accounts for nearly 95% of new home roof construction
in the UK. In addition to manufacturing trusses and pre-engineered
wall panels, they carry a full line of engineered wood products,
including glulaminated timber beams and wood I-joists.
The Super E approach to building has gained considerable
popularity in the UK given the governments’ commitment
to off-site manufacturing, the adoption of Modern Methods
of Construction, and the changing requirements for Part L
of the building code, which will require homes to be more
air tight to meet the new limits on air changes.
